If you were born between 1980 and 2000 then your demands for smart consumption with less waste and more recycling are higher than any other previous generation. Over 70% of millennials, as they are referred to, consider themselves environmentally conscious. They want brands which convey their values, and that includes the packaging. Some 80% of millennials say packaging is an important purchasing criteria and the same proportion want sustainable packaging throughout the value chain, from online delivery to the primary package. Millennials will represent 47% of the workforce in 2025.
